The Latest Updates On The Blog

Let me start with this new blog post – the latest updates on the blog.

I apologize that it’s been a while.

Writing and updating my blog has always been on my mind but with many other things going on, sometimes it’s just a bit tough.

But hey, no excuses, right?

Anyway, the purpose of this – the latest updates on the blog – is to let you know what’s going on here and plans moving forward.

A new section called the Current Updates on the top right corner is added recently to remind myself of the top 3-5 things I need to do.  Plus, it’s also a great way to keep you updated when you land here.

As I’m writing this new blog post, we are still under the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) until 31 Aug during the pandemic.  I still can’t believe what’s happening in the world right now.

How’s the world changed so much?  I was out the other day.  Everything is the same outside but the atmosphere and new practices are so different and weird.  This reminds me more of the old normal busy days…

Anyhow, mentioning this here simply serves as a reminder when I come back to read this post later.

One of the huge wake-up calls is to cherish the things that we have.  There’s a saying from a master, “Don’t bring negative effects to others for whatever one’s doing.”

Okay, let’s stop rambling.

The latest updates on the blog

First, I’m in the midst of updating the existing articles and blog posts.  The first round is to check and update the content.  The second round is to add and update the pictures.

This is going to take a while but I hope to get this done soon.  You can imagine it’s like checking the old stock one by one in a gigantic warehouse…

Second, writing new articles and blog posts are also in the pipeline.  My initial intention of starting this blog is to write more content for our online store –

I found it a bit hard to write on the e-commerce site and contemplated if I should just add a /blog under the e-store.  However, I’ve finally decided to branch out to a new domain (this blog!) using WordPress which is more robust and easy to write.

Therefore, there are several other topics I’m thinking to cover and hopefully provide something of value that we can learn from each other.  What are the topics you like to read more of?

Third, if you’ve already subscribed to my email list, thank you so much!  It’s another area I’m going to tackle, so please look out for the emails in your inbox :).  If you have yet to sign up, you may read these 2 articles – Why subscribe and Free resources introduction – to find out more.

Fourth, it’s about the products.  As mentioned in the “Shopping Guide” article, we’ve already moved our online store to another platform called Shopee Malaysia for the time being.

Since the platform caters to the local market, I’ve added relevant affiliate links throughout the blog should our international readers would like to see more of and shop.  The products offered, though, can vary from shop to shop.

Let’s save this for now and I’ll be sharing and showing you more about the products in the next blog post.

Lastly, thank you so much for stopping by and reading my blog.  You know, sometimes I feel so awful of not updating as frequently as I should.  It’s like inviting my dear friends to my dusty and messy home.

However, with that being said, I’m still blown away by the amazing internet because somehow somewhere you’ll be here reading.  Honestly, it’s quite uneasy to hit that “Publish” button sometimes because it’s still a scary feeling to write publicly.

Suddenly, an all-time favorite quote popped up telling me, “Feel the fear and do it anyway.” (by Susan Jeffers)

Alright, let’s stop now before I keep talking.  Thank you again!  See you in the next post!
